He is an honor...Matthew is an amazing 11 year old. He is an honor student in 6th grade. It has been a very difficult road for him, but he has shown nothing but grace throughout the journey. He keeps his faith at the forefront and faces everything with optimism. He has a maturity that is often not seen in adults. Matthew was eventually diagnosed in 2007 with renal artery stenosis. This was the cause of the dangerously high blood pressure. He underwent an auto kidney transplant at the age of 6. A year later he developed hydronephrosis and required another surgery to remove scar tissue. Last fall he began developing painful kidney stones and polyuria. Matthew will always be plagued with kidney disease, but we know that this is part of his path and plan. We are so grateful to be able to share his story in the hopes of helping others. His journey has already saved lives through the NPBPAF. Thanks for taking the time to read about him. We hope you will continue to follow his journey.
